3 Steps to Prioritize Your Wedding Planning

Congrats! You are engaged! Now it’s time to start planning the wedding of your dreams. Many couples feel overwhelmed and unsure of where to even start the planning process. Below are our 3 Steps to help you get your priorities organized so you can start your planning adventure!

STEP ONE: WHAT IS YOUR VISION FOR YOUR BIG DAY?

Write down what you want your wedding day to be like. It does not have to be in sentences.

For Example: Do you want a celebration that is laid back and casual? Or are you wanting a fun and upbeat party atmosphere?

STEP TWO: CREATE A LIST OF YOUR TOP 5 PRIORITIES FOR YOUR WEDDING CELEBRATION

Have both yourself and your fiance write down a list of your top 5 must-haves for your wedding.

Here is a list of potential vendors/services you may consider for your list:

Officiant

Ceremony Venue

Reception Venue

Bartender

Attire

Cake Decorator

Hair Stylist

Makeup Artists

STEP THREE: REFLECT

Do your lists have similarities? Are they different? Do your lists reflect the vision that you wrote down in Step One? If it doesn’t match your vision you will need to adjust your vision or your priorities as this will help you to know where to budget for your wedding.

For example: If a couple wants an energetic and interactive dance party then they would place their DJ/MC in the “Can’t live without” category whilst a couple that is more into having the best food experience might put their caterer in the top spot.
